Can you achieve a work/life balance?

We all have stressful lives and many of us work around the clock, but it is so important to find that work/life balance. I have touched on the subject before about making sure that you schedule some me time into your diary each day. Make an appointment each day with yourself. Put an hour aside to get a quick gym work out in, make an appointment to spend time with your family. As i am getting older, i am realizing the importance of having a work/life balance. Each day, I schedule in a couple of hours into my day to get my fitness in, be it, going for a run along the beach or going for a paddle board.

Many companies are increasingly becoming more flexible with their employees and as long as the work is getting completed on time and deadlines are being met, employees can within reason create their own working hours.

I do not always get the work/life balance correct and I kick myself if I do not get my run on the beach or a quick paddle board in. I have now got into a routine where I have to do some fitness every day.

The work/life balance is just not making time for fitness, it is making time for you and if you have a family, with your family. Relaxing is needed for the body to recover. If you do not relax, your body does not recover and that’s when health issues start to arise.

So make sure that you get your work/life balance correct, as your body will thank you for it and you will find better health
