Don’t be a Couch Potato

Are you a couch potato? Are you missing out on life in favour for the TV?
Well that was me, I use to come home and so tired from work and what would I do, plonk myself in front of the TV. When I was driving home from work, I would be wondering what I would be watching on tv tonight.
I always made the excuse I was too tired to go to the gym after work and the tv always won over the gym.
The last three weeks, I now finish work and go straight to the gym. I no longer think what I am missing on tv, I go to the gym and do my hour and half. Some days I have to push myself through my workout, some days I have to push myself to get to the gym but I always feel invigorated and motivated for going.
I didn’t realise how much time I was spending in front of the tv. I’m now back studying, I’m reading books and finding other hobbies rather than having only one hobby, the TV.
Don’t get me wrong, I still watch TV and it’s good to unwind at night, but don’t let it run your life. There is so many other things you can be doing with your time.
