Many of us eat very well and exercise hard, but there are times that you get cravings for the bad food that you should not be eating such as fast food. These things test us and tests how strong our mind can be. Getting fit and losing weight is about a lifestyle change, it is ok one day a week to have a piece of cake or have an extra alcoholic drink. This will satisfy your cravings for some sugar and should let you breeze through the next 6 days with your healthy eating and exercise routines. This one day though is not a free card to eat as much of the bad food that you should not be eating, but it should allow you to have one treat. An award for being so good for the rest of the week. Many argue that you shouldn’t have a free day. But I believe that is why many people fall off the bandwagon of a healthy living lifestyle because they deny their bodies these bad foods and instead of allowing a treat, they say no no no then they can deny no more and go to the other extreme and eat too much of these bad foods then fall back into their bad habits. Being fit and healthy is a lot of hard work, it is not easy, you have to plan meals, plan exercise times and lastly your mind has to always be strong. Everyone is different, everyone’s bodies reacts differently to different situations and now since being in a fit and healthy lifestyle, I listen to my own body. So is it good to have a free day where you can have a treat? For me the answer is yes, but do not go over the top.
