Living a social lifestyle and alcohol

Making connections is really important to our overall happiness and health. Having friends helps shape who we are and having the right friends can help create a positive lifestyle.

Having the wrong friends however can be determental to both our health and may lead to more serious problems.

We all know what it’s like though, you have a really great group of friends and you have a wonderful time together, the alcohol is flowing and you wake up feeling rotten the next morning. It is really important to watch the alcohol consumption as alcohol puts on weight. Sparkling wine is very bad as it is full of sugar. You should be limiting your intake of alcohol as part of your fitness regime. A respectable level is one or two nights a week where you have one or two drinks. That’s 4 standard drinks in the week. That way you can still socialise with your friends and enjoy a few drinks with them, but know the limit and stop when uve reached your limit.

Now this is where you need to have enough self control. Give yourself a pep talk before you go out. Tonight I will have 2 drinks, no more, I will be strong.

You will be amazed at how well you will feel. No more hangovers.
