Reaching a plateau in your fitness regime

We have all been there, you have been exercising hard, eating well and losing weight. But then your results seem to halt and you just can’t seem to reach the next level. Well you’ve plateau, this does not mean it’s time to stop, it means it’s time to re-evaluate your fitness regime and eating habits. Time to re-evaluate your goals and maybe set new ones. In fact it’s time to kick it up a notch to reach your new goals. It can be very frustrating when you plateau, and it happens to everyone, the idea is not to stop and say you’ve reached your goal. Have you reached your goal, the answer should be no. If it’s yes, then set a new one, make the challenge harder. You can plateau for weeks, however if you kick it up a notch, you may not see the results for another couple of weeks. That’s why it’s important to keep going and not give up. Many people give up because they are not seeing the results they want, but if you keep going, you will eventually see the results you want. Fitness and healthy eating is a way of life, it’s a long term commitment. Just because you plateau, doesn’t mean you give up. Remember the old saying, ” when the tough gets going, the going gets tough”.
