Why Fad Diets do not work

Why is it as soon as a new diet comes out, everyone wants to try it. The success of these fad diets is the promise of a quick result. But fitness and healthy eating is a total lifestyle change and should be a forever option, it is not a quick fix. To succeed in losing weight and maintain the weight, it is a shift in the mind set and changing behaviours. Most fad diets is all about eliminating food groups, But you should only be eliminating food groups if it affects your health. For example I am lactose intolerant so I cannot have diary. I have eliminated this food group completely. What happens is when you go onto a fad diet, you eliminate good groups but then as soon as you come off the diet and start eating those food groups, you start to put the weight back on. People go from fad diet to fad diets. They lose some weight stop the diet and then put the weight back on. This is called yo-yo dieting, which is not good for your health. In order to be successful, you need to change your whole lifestyle. Bringing in an exercise routine and healthy eating plan. Being healthy is all about re-educating yourself and your body which is not a quick fix
