Accepting help

Why is it we don’t like accepting help? We are always very quick to lend a hand but when someone wants to lend us a hand we say” we don’t want to be any trouble”.

Well if this is always you, well you need to modify that behaviour. It is not good for you, it is not good for for stress levels and it puts pressure on your body.

Accepting help is not an admission of failure, far from it. It says you have the courage and conviction to seek assistance to be able to carry on with your task.

When at work, we have always heard the saying, there is no I in team. Well that is very true and working and assisting and asking for help is what team work is all about

When trying to achieve personal goals such as your fitness regime, you are going to need to accept help as well. You will need your family and friends help to stay on track, to give you a kick up the rear if you fall off the bandwagon.

That’s why it is important to share your goals with family and friends as they will be able to offer assistance to you. And don’t be proud, accept the help that is offered to you.
