Comfort Zones and Goals

There comes a time where you need to leave your comfort zone and take a chance on yourself. Something which I have done this week. After 20 years in my industry running hotels, I decided to venture out on my own and purchase a business.
This week has seen a range of emotions. It’s been excitement, then nervousness when signing the contract, then doubt about leaving a steady income. But the doubt didn’t last long. It’s back at excitement now.
Don’t worry, I’ll still be doing Markydfitness, so you will still have my weekly blogs, Facebook page and my online store on my website.
The decision to purchase my own business was a very easy one for me, an opportunity arose and I jumped at it. I’m not afraid of leaving my comfort zone. I did it nearly 3 years ago when I moved from Queensland to Tasmania and it has been the best decision. So I have no doubt that this new venture will be the same.
I’m a big believer of things happen for a reason and if it’s meant to be, it will happen at the right time. I have lived my life by this philosophy and so far, it has steered me well.
But sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone in order to achieve great things. You don’t achieve things easily. You have to work hard for results and be dedicated to your goals which can mean you have to leave your comfort zone.
So ask yourself, what goals would you like to attain and what steps do you need to take to achieve your goals? Then go out and achieve your goals.
