Injuries and staying on track

So the other day I was running along the beach in the water and fell into a small hole and sprained my ankle. It has been bandaged for 3 days and I can’t do any exercise. Is this just an excuse to be lazy?

Of course it is, there is still my two arms and other leg that I can use to do exercise. Just because you have an injury to a section of your body is not the reason to stop your routine. You will just have to modify your fitness program and disable the injured section from it.

It is important not to stop your fitness regime as that’s when you fall off the bandwagon and start making excuses, which we have touch on in previous posts on my blog.

So as long as your injuries allows you to exercise other sections of your body, then modify your program and continue working out. The body is meant to be active and doesn’t like to be immobile so do it a favour and keep exercising and let the injury repair
