Looking after yourself

So as you can see, Markydfitness is back online after a lengthy break and so much has happened during this time. My career has taken off and I am now the big boss. I now have an amazing partner and oh, I have put back on 20 kilos in two years.
So how did I happen to put on so much weight? Well I keep making the excuse life is busy, work is busy and I am so busy looking after all my staff that I forgot about me. I forgot to look after myself.
You know the feeling, a 10 hour shift at work, you know you should be going to the gym, but you feel too tired, you come home and binge eat because you didn’t have time for lunch (which in fact is you didn’t make time for lunch) and your hungry.
I kept telling myself, I will start at the gym tomorrow and then the next day I would say the same to myself. I got stuck on repeat and forgot to press the pause button and then I should of pressed play and went to the gym.
Does this sound all too familar? It is so easy to do. But in life, if you do not look after yourself, then you won’t be able to look after the people who look up to you. We always practice the saying, Leading by example and in Leadership this is the number one importance, however, it has to follow through to how well you look after yourself, what appearance you are projecting not just in business but personally.
So now I am on the weight loss journey once again, I fell off the horse for a long time and now to jump back on that horse and start kicking goals personally.
I hope that I can also inspire others while I am on this journey.
