New year new me

Happy New Year readers. Most of us start the new year with a New Years resolution. Normally, it’s to eat more healthy, get more exercise and to cut down on alcohol. Most people won’t last on their New Years resolution by the end of January.
Why is that? Well it’s because you haven’t mentally got into the right head space and your not 100% committed.
When you commit to something, and I mean really commit, nothing will stop you from achieving your goal. I made a decision in April 2022 that I needed to do something about my weight. I tipped the scales at my heaviest at 99.8kg. Something I’m not proud of.
In 6 months, I have lost 9kg. I have been watching my eating intake, I have tried to do over 10,000 steps a day. It hasn’t been easy, I have fallen off the wagon a couple of days, but what’s important is I got straight back on the wagon.
I know that everyone is busy, however guess what. I’m running 2 businesses, I’m working 80-100 hours a week. I don’t have time to go to the gym, but that’s just an excuse, of course I do, I just have to prioritise the gym.
We all need help along the way to stay on track, to help keep us in check. with technology now, there are many fitness apps. I use myfitness pal to track my calories and use my Apple Watch to track my steps which syncs with myfitness pal.
Having completed my certificate IV in fitness and now a qualified Personal Trainer, it’s time to kick up the fitness regime to the next level. My goal is to loose another 14kg.
Follow my journey, I’ll keep you posted on how I go.
