Omg I had a weekend of junk food!!!

So went away camping for the weekend to a music festival. Had a great time. Ate too much, drank too much, had no vegetables and no exercise for 3 days and guess what. It’s called living.

I ate junk food and drank soft drink, something I very rarely do and that’s why it’s called a treat. I have noticed a massive difference in my stomach though, it really can’t handle that kind of food anymore.

But that’s all ok. I’m not going to get my knickers in a knot over a weekend. I’ll just have to do more in the gym this week and be a more committed to my eating this week.

You have to live and enjoy life. Yes, I probably should of been a bit more prepared and planned my eating for while I was away to be a bit healthier and probably will next time I go away. Lesson learnt. But I was not going to a music festival to eat a carrot while having a water.

And this is why fad diets don’t work, which I have previously written about on multiple occasions. Being healthy and eating healthy is a lifestyle. It has to be sustained over your life, not just a month or so. Fad diets are too restrictive and you end up caving in because you don’t allow yourself a treat every now and again.

So don’t beat yourself up for having a life and living it. If you are out and have a dessert, just do a bit extra in the gym the next day to counter it.

I get it, a lot of you are saying but what about my weight loss goals and being dedicated to success. What I’m constantly writing about. Well I can say this, “Life is made for living”. Don’t restrict yourself and make it impossible to live. But ensure that it’s just a treat and get back on the bandwagon the next day and carry on with your goals and yes, your going to have to up the intensity at them gym next week.
